After waiting for Santa, we finally made it up to him. The wait really wasn't that bad. We took our pictures and got ready to leave. The lady then told me the computer messed up and she was trying to get it to work again. So we hung out and danced with Santa for 15 minutes until they got the camera to work again. We took four more pictures and then we were on our merry way.

Finally, We Meet Santa
McKenna and Carrington meet Santa. Unlike her sister, Carrington could not wait to get to Santa. She walked right up and reached for him. She didn't smile, but she was fine to be in his lap. All of McKenna's pictures up until age four is her screaming. Yes, I am one of those terrible mothers who said take the picture regardless. I mean you have to have the memories. Right??!!

McKenna told him she had been good. She wants a nightime bug set and a science kit complete with a lab coat too. That he can handle I am sure. We first started with wanting a scooter. I had to explain that it said it was for 12 years an up. McKenna's reply was, "I am sure since Santa makes them he could make one for a five year old." What do you say to that. I was stumped.

Trying to Be Patient for Santa
We were third in line to see Santa, but it seemed like forever. The girls occupied their time well.
"Look Carrington, do you see Santa?"
Here he is... at least I think it is. I was so disappointed. I have had McKenna's picture taken with the Galleria Santa since she was 11 months. This year when I walked up I realized this was not him. I called a worker over and asked what was going on. She said the other one retired. UHHHH! McKenna's comment was he is not fat enough. I told her he had been working hard and had lost weight. I assured her Mrs. Claus would fatten him up and all the cookies he would we eating would also help. She agreed. Thank goodness.

Shoe Girl!
Many people say that McKenna looks/acts like Scott and Carrington looks/acts like me. There are ways that I do see this. Even though this is not the best picture, here is Carrington showing her fascination with shoes. When I was a little girl, I would come to my Meme's house and immediately go to her shoe closet. She had the best high heels ever. I would stay in high heels the whole visit. Well, Carrington is following in the same foot steps. She managed to get McKenna's Cinderella high heels and put them on by herself while we were getting ready for school. I could not resisting taking this pictures especially with the footie pajamas on also. I will say this... all those years of high heels I had no problem walking in them when I got old enough to have a real pair. Let's just say...It looks like Carrington will be well prepared also.
OGES-Chuck E. Cheese Night
Oak Grove Elementary had a Chuck E. Cheese Night. This was a fundraiser for out PTA. The girls had a lot of fun and it was a school night, but we had the next day off for Veterans' Day. Here is Carrington with her favorite character right now-Barney.
Deal of No Deal? McKenna.
Carrington would have stayed here all night. She loves characters. Not scared one little bit. She hugged and danced with Chuck E. all night. Go Girl!
McKenna winning those tickets for that one pack of Fun Dip. Ha!

Celebrating Pawpaw's Birthday
Veteran's Day Program
McKenna was able to invite Pawpaw to come to our Veteran's Day program this year. She got to go on stage and present him with a flag pin. It was a great patriotic program. One funny note--one of the volunteer ladies who was helping kept trying to get McKenna to stand by another grandfather. McKenna kept trying to tell her he was not her Pawpaw, but she kept insisting. Needless to say, McKenna began crying because she could not find her Pawpaw. Pawpaw's name was finally announced and he found her. Happy Ending!
Prayer Need
This is McKenna and her teacher Mrs. Shelton. We are asking everyone to please remember Mrs. Shelton in your prayers. She found out a week ago that she has cancer in her leg. This was devastating news to her. She began radiation treatments this past week and that has already helped her pain. We are so grateful for that. Mrs. Shelton battled cancer five years ago. I ask that you please remember her, her family, and her class of kindergarten students in prayer every day. She is a wonderful christian woman and trusts the Lord. Thanks so much!
