Hadleigh in the chef hat.
Just look at those chubby cheeks.

Valentine Presents
One of our Valentine traditions is I buy a hard back book for each girl. It is generally about love or has some special significance. I always write special things that have happened since last Valentine's Day on the inside. Carrington is opening her book Who Loves the Little Lamb?
McKenna opened her book The Giving Tree.
Hadleigh got the book Baby, I Love You.

Valentine's Dinner
Hadleigh's first Valentine's Day!
Scott has always cooked a special Valentine meal even before we were married. We never go out. He always comes up with a special menu. Now that he has a house full of girls, he really spoils us. McKenna asked for steak this year. Here is our special dinner...candlelight and all . McKenna insisted on everyone dressing up. Carrington has on her Belle costume and McKenna found a dress she wanted to wear. She even made me put on one of my past Bridesmaid dresses. HA! We had a great evening.

Mercedes Half Marathon
The girls and I followed Scott along the race route. We traveled from the South Exhibition hall (behind the Sheraton) to the BJCC then to the McWane Center then to Linn Park. I felt like we had run a marathon by this time. We were frozen so we went into Boutwell to warm up. Scott's team had a booth in there. We waited and snacked until Scott was closer to the finish line.
The girls waiting to hear daddy's name called out.
He made it...He crossed the finish line.
Scott with his medal.

Go Team!
Scott ran in honor of people that lost their battle with cancer or are currently battling cancer. He trained with Team in Training which raises money for Leukemia and Lymphoma research. It was very humbling to hear from a mother whose three year old daughter is currently fighting Leukemia. I was so proud of him raising his money and training to run 13 miles. I must say it is not an easy sacrifice or commitment when you are working and have a family. He ran it in 2 hours and 6 minutes. Way to Go!
The girls were up at 5:45. We got dressed, bundled up, and headed downtown to watch for daddy. I must say it was no easy feat, but we did it. Here they are holding their "Go Daddy" signs. We got to see him two times before he crossed the finish line.
In the sea of runners passing by the BJCC.
Still looking good. He was passing the McWane Center.
