Relay for Life in honor of Mrs. Shelton

We had a Relay for Life on Friday. This was to honor Mrs. Shelton (McKenna's teacher). Everything turned out wonderful. The Shelton Stars raised over $1100.00. We were so excited. The entire community, school, friends, and family helped to raise $20,000 for the Amercian Cancer Society. We were over the moon about this. We never dreamed it would be that big. Thank you to my friends and family that helped McKenna raise money. I pray that this money help find a cure for this awful disease. Here are some snapshots of Mrs. Shelton, her family, McKenna's classmates, Leon (my father-in-law/cancer survivor, Carrington and McKenna, and some of the Shelton Stars.

Egg Drop Day

We had to create a package that would hold a raw egg and survive being dropped from the air. We made this bunny. McKenna came in and said "Mom I didn't win the egg drop." I said "Why? I tested that thing and the egg didn't crack." She said, "I know, mine did not break so I didn't win." I had to tell the silly girl that this was a good thing. We were trying to keep her egg from cracking. We wanted it to survive. HA!

Palm Sunday Pics

This little stinker...I must tell this story. I try to wait until the very last minute on Sunday to get both girls dressed. I don't want them to be all wrinkled or get dirty. If you do it to early, Little Miss Carrington will have her shoes, bow, and socks off before you turn around. This Sunday I had waited, but had Scott dress her because I needed to go and do my hair. When I returned she was still dressed so we loaded up and headed to church. When I picked her up from nursery, Mrs. Norma said I want you to see something. She lifted her dress and Carrington had on her pajama bottoms. I said, "Did she not have on her pink bloomers?" She said yes and she had both legs in one hole of her pajama bottoms and they were around her waist. How we missed feeling this as we buckled her in the car seat and carried her in to church, I do not know. They tried taking them off of her, but she would have it no other way than to leave them on and take off the bloomers. She is a mess. There is never a dull moment.
