McKenna' Decision

There are so many things that as a parent you wish for your children. I can remember holding McKenna as a little baby and praying that she would one day make wondeful friends, be a motivated learner, date/marry a Godly man, use her talents, and the list goes on. My biggest prayer that I have prayed over her since I found out I was pregnant was that she would love God with her whole heart. I wanted her to know Him and for Him to be real in her life. That he would live in her heart and she would be sold out to him. I want so much for her, but more than anything I want to know her eternal future is to live forever.
On January 26, 2010, Scott and McKenna were doing their night time routine. He was reading a C.S. Lewis book to her. She began asking about Jesus living in her heart. Scott came in to the living room and asked me to come to McKenna' room. She told me she was ready to ask Jesus into her heart. As a parent, my heart swelled with emotion. As sweet as it could be, Scott led McKenna in a prayer asking Jesus to be the Lord of her Life. It was a moment that I will never forget. You see I can wish and hope for all the material and physical things of this world for her, but that means nothing. The decision McKenna made on this night...is what this life is all about. Thank you Lord-You are Good All the Time!

Hadleigh is 6 Months Old!

Here are some pictures I took of Hadleigh. It is hard to believe she is already 6 months old. She is sitting up by herself, still teething (no teeth), saying mama & byebye, and babbling all the time. She is finally rolling over on her own. I was beginning to get stressed, however, Dr. Blair reassured me it was fine. She laughs and lights up anytime Carrington or McKenna comes into the room. She was 90% for her height and 75% for weight. She is loving her baby food even the meats (YUCK). Hadleigh reaches for everything she sees. She is going through some stranger anxiety and is preferring mommy. Just look at that toothless grin. We are so blessed that she is in our family.

That's Our Girl!

I had to share this picture because this is soooo Carrington. She loves to dress up and especially loves shoes. One morning, we were getting ready to go to school and Nene's house. Carrington went and got her "Spooky" socks, flip flops, and her Sesame Street gown and insisted on wearing them to Nene's. This is one of those situations that I am learning as a parent-Choose the Battle. No big deal...It is not like we are going to the store or out to eat. Problem is...I know that day will come with this one. She keeps us on our toes, but is so much fun. We can only imagine what the future holds.

Photo Shoot

I decided to take some pictures by the tree before I took it down. Carrington would have not part of it. McKenna wanted to be my assistant. She did a great job.
